I felt the earth move!

Today was a very memorable day for strange reasons! I was in Johor this morning for a meeting with a developer. We were sitting in the conference room around lunch time, when suddenly the room..no, the building started to sway! I thought I was falling asleep, hence the swaying, until I noticed water spilling from a glass on the table!

Turns out there was a huge earthquake in Sumatra this afternoon, and people in Singapore and Johor felt the after-effects. Weirdest, scariest moment to date! Some people at the office were really panicking and rushing to evacuate. We had to leave as well, so that the engineers could check the structures of the building. There were lots of cracks everywhere, and apparently, LOTS of damages to the top floor (which we were not on, thank goodness!) What we felt today was nothing. Hopefully something bigger doesn't hit any time soon.
